In Latin 231 in the fall we will be reviewing all of basic Latin, including forms, vocabulary, and syntax. We will be moving very quickly, and so students entering Latin 231 are asked to learn the following vocabulary and forms. Most of these should be familiar from your previous Latin study.
Latin 251 (covering Ch. 1-9 of Keller/Russell, Learn to Read Latin)

- Read (and enjoy) Catilina’s Riddle, by Steven Saylor
Latin 380

- If you want to get a head start, you can study Common vocabulary in the Pro Caelio (online flashcards)
Latin 451/2

Latin 550

- Read Homer’s Odyssey (any translation, but Fagles’ recommended)
